🌡️ Chapter 7

7.1

What is Temperature

Temperature tells us how hot or cold something is. It is measured using a thermometer, usually in degrees Celsius (°C).

1

What instrument is used to measure temperature?

A thermometer

2

What is the normal human body temperature (approximately)?

About 37°C

7.2

Heat and Temperature

Heat is a form of energy that flows from a hotter object to a colder one. Temperature is a measure of how hot or cold an object is.

1

If you touch a hot cup of tea, what flows from the cup to your hand?

Heat energy

2

Why does a metal spoon feel colder than a wooden spoon at the same room temperature?
