Clocks show the same time in two ways at once. Drag the sliders and watch the clock hands move, and see the 12-hour and 24-hour times update together.
Try it: set Hour to 0 โ that's 12:00 AM at night, midnight.
A clock has an hour hand (short) and a minute hand (long). We describe time using phrases like "half past," "quarter past," and "quarter to," based on where the minute hand points.
Uses AM (midnight to noon) and PM (noon to midnight). A normal clock face shows 12-hour time.
Counts hours from 0 to 23 without AM/PM โ used in train and flight timetables. For PM times (except 12 PM), add 12 to the hour.
3:00 PM = 15:00 in 24-hour time.
18:30 in 24-hour time โ subtract 12 from the hour.
18:30 = 6:30 PM

A train departs at 14:20 and arrives at 17:05. Find the journey duration.
